The Blue Economy® Series – 10 Years, 100 Innovations, 100 Million Jobs Several publications make up what is now called the Blue Economy® Series. The book “The Blue Economy®” introduces the mentality, philosophy and methodology behind the entire concept. Several innovations are described in the context of water, energy, building or food supply. All 100 selected innovations are summarized in the appendix of the book. “The Blue Economy®” is a report to the Club of Rome and has been published in 7 languages. “Zen and the Art of Blue” breaks Blue Economy® thinking down into things every individual can do every day to live a happier, healthier and more sustainable life. Inspiring and eye opening, the book guides readers on a path of blue living, making use of the resources and capabilities each one of us holds within. Available in English and German, with more languages coming soon. Shortly upcoming is a book on Blue Economy® Management, focused on the principles that guide executives and entrepreneurs who wish to benefit from the increased cash flows and innovative nature that Blue Economy® thinking instills in corporate culture. 36 Fables complement the books in that they bring Blue Economy® topics into the world of children. Beautifully illustrated, they tell little stories that open the mind, but also contain educational material for children to read as well as guidance for teachers and parents on how to accompany children on a path of discovery. The fables are published in bilingual editions, many of which are available through local book stores. Several innovators are currently writing books about their work. We also recommend reading “Gaviotas – a Village to reinvent the world” by Alan Weisman, “The future of Hope” by Chido Govero and “Design sistemico” by Luigi Bastagnino (Italian). |
